The Now and the Future

A lot of innovations in the way of pollution control come from government legislation. In 2014, Ontario burned its last piece of coal. This has done a great deal to limit the production of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and has resulted in 0 smog days in Ontario since.

Roles and Responsibilities

The roles and responsibilities of EPH officials are primarily to educate. EPHPs must take it upon themselves to educate not only the public, but also politicians. If people with power to legislate and eventuate change were to desire change, it would be the first step to change.

As for organizations, they must take it upon themselves to ensure they are within pollution guidelines, using the most efficient tools, and taking the environment into consideration.
