Canada-US air quality agreement
The Government of Canada and the Government of the United States of America Influenced by the existing information that cross-border air pollution can cause a great deal of impairment to natural resources of crucial environmental, cultural and economic importance, and to human health in both countries, decided to work together in order to reduce air pollution and improve air quality by addressing air-related issues such as:

It is dedicated to reinforce the legislative foundation for taking action on decreasing greenhouse gases and air pollution.
The Government of Canada usually propose regulations for:

Emission from industries
Build upon the emissions intensity approach to reduce greenhouse gases and employ a fixed cap approach to target-setting.

Emissions from On-Road and Off-Road Vehicles and Engines
Emit, amend regulations to reduce air pollutant emissions from on-road motorcycles.

Emissions from Consumer and Commercial Product
Emit and create regulations to limit and reduce Volatile Organic Compounds.
In Canada the Government allows each province to make their own regulations and legislations as long as they comply with the Environmental Assessment Act.
